SLAVE SHIP

shackled on a ship......... these curses.
Before we reach the surface.
We prayin the first dayin
These tears we cry hope we alive by the 90 day in
Buyin people for only a bars fee, Wishin on stars see
Look what they done to Marcus Garvie
Yeah that’s right,…. Sold for rice make some wanna riot
Jus one of us for hardly a farthing jus imagine tha farthings
We a float bobin like Marley
On a boat no hope
Everybody hot, sweatin, thirsty an starving
People dien an wont make it
Before some of us are slavin we get to grave dig
The sea become some grave then
Its over board,…….. Literally bodies thrown over board
Some are wonderin what we pryain for
Still 60 days till we reaching shores
but I aint really sure,.. Some of us wont be reaching shore
We been floatin,
but im still hopin so sick of seeing Im see sick I wish you could see it.
But im glad u couldn’t see it
Wish I could see ab Lincoln.
30 days is a ways away so,…. slavin is only days away
Tha civil war must be far cause freedom is what they gave away
But that was years ahead when they gave it
Slave ships was the beginning of slaveship.
Im juss listenin to this
Even Im feelin slavish,….not enough sun, you could never shade this
Tha man aint never gave a ish…
wish I could see tha future when civil rights began to cave in
This a different way,.. one day we’ll be paving,…. I see um waving us in
Seconds away from cotton pickin & caterin,… labourin
We was tryna move up,……. but
Tha klu Klux was like screw us,…they wanna black an blue us
Talkin cage an zoo us
MLK was thinking future
Alotta things I aint finna say
God made a move right away
So things wouldn’t penetrate,… we gone be free one day
Even then,…….Still its alotta hate
So they JFK assassinate,…
Them burnin crosses, an horses
Tha families, tha loses
There were so many that stood strong,….we in,.. we home,..
thank god for tha ships that sailed on
